Company History
The company was established in 2000 as a reseller of another hosting company's services by Daniel Conlon. In those heady days of the "dot com boom", our services sold quickly and the company grew rapidly, we moved to our own servers in a shared data centre in mid 2001. The real world experience Daniel had of reselling gave him an understanding of the limitations and inadequacies of reseller solutions on the market at that time, enabling him to create the perfect reseller solution.
A critical factor was his groundbreaking web based control panel and administration interface that allowed customers to create and manage hosting accounts and domain names in real time. The business automation facilitated by the control panel technology meant cost savings which could be passed on to customers who could get things done instantly instead of having to wait for their host to activate their requests.
| Donhost went from strength to strength, more servers were added, our team of exceptional people grew, exciting new products were launched and existing ones improved. In 2002 we moved from a collocated facility to our own wholly-owned, purpose built data centre and office complex. |
